General

• What are the server requirements? Minimum: PHP 5.12 + MySQL 4.1 or newer with 1 database available.
  Recommended: Linux + Apache2 + PHP 5.26 or newer + MySQL 5.0 or newer.
  For ultimate package clients who want to enable Speed-up Support, require a VPS or dedicated server with Memcache installed.
• How easy for me to customize Revship? Revship is designed in Core-Plugins mode, so it will be very easy for you to customize your site. You will know how to develop or modify plugins, and how to create your theme after learning tutorials in our Knowledgebase.
• Does Revship come in any other languages? Revship comes with many languages such as English, Spanish, French, Chinese etc. You just need to enable the language you want in Admin Panel. If you can't find the language you want, please go to our Market to install for free, then the selected language pack will be automatically downloaded to your site.
• If I can't find my language in our Market, can I translate it myself? In our Market, you can find many language packs. But if you can't find what you want, there's a Visual Language Editor in admin panel which can help making your language pack easily. After you made your language pack which doesn't included in our Market, we appreciate if you can contribute it to our Market! We will display your name as author of this language pack.
• Are future updates free? Minor updates such as 2.1 to 2.2 are provided free of charge. Major updates such as 2.x to 3.x can be purchased for a small upgrade fee (usually between $15 USD and $45 USD) and include a massive amount of new functionality and improvements.

Sales

• Is the purchase price a one-time fee or annual? The purchase of Revship and plugins are one-time fees and the license is valid indefinitely. We do not charge any annual fees.
  Some online services like Online Backup, Remote Timer are free included in package usually for a certain time. After these online service expire, you can choose to renew them in Market
• After I purchased Revship, what's next? You will receive your license information and download URL very shortly after purchase, after a brief validation to prevent fraudulent orders. Then you will receive the starter tutorial to setup your site.
• Is my billing information kept private when I purchase? Absolutely. We process payment via PayPal, so we will not see and store your billing information.
• How to purchase add-ons, services which is not included in package? There's a Market place in your Admin Panel. Just go to there, you can install add-ons, themes, services, and some are FREE of charge!
• I changed my domain name, can I change the domain for my license? Yes, you can change your domain name information in Client Area at any time! Just login your account by clicking My Account on header.
• Is there any discount? Maybe. We may post promotion codes sometimes. You can follow us on Twitter @revshipsoft. Or subscribe our mail list.
• Can I get a custom quote on bulk license purchasing? Yes, we can provide substantial discounts for multiple license purchasing. Please contact us using the contact form with information on how many licenses you're interested in purchasing and whether you are purchasing on behalf of a web development firm. We will respond promptly with a price quote.

Support

• What type of issues does support cover? Our support team will assist with initial Software installation, general questions related to the script and technical errors encountered during the normal use of unmodified script. We cannot assist with customization of the script.
• How long does it take to get a response from support? Response times vary based on ticket volume but we do our best to respond to all tickets within 24 hours.
• Can I purchase extended support? Yes, once your support expires you can renew it in Market.
• Do you offer an installation of upgrades? When new upgrades arrive, it will notice you when you go to your Admin Panel, it will guide you to upgrade your system automatically. But before upgrade, you need to backup your all files and database.
  * To developers, you should extend the system classes, so that it won't re-write your customized files after auto upgrade.
• Do you offer phone support? Our support is only offered through a ticket based system at this time. We've found this method to be the most efficient means to assist customers since it allows issues to be easily tracked and relevant information to be indexed.

Licensing

• How many licenses do I need? Every license is valid for one domain. You can add subdomains in Client Area for free if your package includes subdomains. Or you can purchase subdomain license in Market.
• I found a third party selling Revship licenses. Is that legal? Revship licenses are non-transferable. Revship.com is the only legal source of Revship licenses. By purchasing from third parties, you also risk missing out on the great support and software updates from us. If in doubt, please don't hesitate to contact us regarding the legitimacy of a license or to report a reseller.
• Can I sell my website in the future? Yes, you're free to sell your website but not your Revship license. Each license can only bind one domain. Your buyers can purchase new license to active their site.

Installation

• How do I install Revship? To install Revship on your hosting, follow the instructions provided in this Knowledgebase article: http://www.revship.com/kb/view/1
• If I upgrade to a new version, will I lose my customizations or admin panel settings? You will not lose your settings in Admin Panel. As for customizations which depends on what type of customizations you've made. If you created your new theme, new plugin, or modify core features by extending core class, it will not lose your customizations, but you may need to make some modifications on them to adapt new version. But if you modified the core codes, you will unfortunately lose all your modifications. Nevertheless, please remember to take a full site backup before you upgrade always.
• How do I move my installation to a new server? First, check to see if your new host provides a migration service. If they do not, you can move the installation yourself by exporting your MySQL database using cPanel or PHPMyAdmin, downloading all your Revship files to your computer, importing your MySQL database on your new server, and uploading your Revship files to the new server. Remember to set the proper permissions on the new server.
• How long does professional installation take? If you want our technician to install Revship to your server, you need to fill in your hosting information including FTP info, MySQL info etc. If you are using a Linux VPS or dedicated server and need to install web server etc, you need to fill in the SSH info. After we receive your login credentials, your installation will generally be completed within 1 business day, however it is often completed within hours.

• Can I hire Revship to write custom plugins/customizations? We are not offering customization services at this time. However, we can recommend several customization firms that specialize in Revship development by clicking here.
• I love Revship! Where can I write a testimonial? We are thrilled that you love Revship!
